Venue Hire

IMA is the perfect venue to host your next corporate, community or private function. We have six spaces to hire, each with varying capacity. Our function room is the largest and most flexible space and has hosted board meetings and workshops. Our venue hire facilities include our function room, theatrette, art workshop rooms, board room and studio.

Our facilities are ideal for conducting professional development seminars for your school or organisation.

Visitors aged 16 years and over, including those attending an event in any one of the IMA’s venues, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have a valid medical exemption, in line with the Chief Health Officer’s directions. Patrons must provide this proof to Museum staff on arrival. For more information, refer to our COVID-19 response.

Function Room

The function room can accommodate up to 70 guests and comes complete with an audio-visual display system, whiteboard, lectern, tables and chairs, with flexible room setup options.

Theatrette

The theatrette overlooks the beautiful IMA billabong and can accommodate up to 40 guests. Featuring complete audio-visual set up, whiteboard and lectern, this space is perfect for presentations and lectures.

Workshop Rooms

Our two workshop rooms can accommodate up to 15 people and are perfect for meetings, craft workshops, or silent reflection sessions. Workshop rooms come equipped with a sink and storage area for materials.

Board Room

Our board room overlooks our peaceful billabong and can accommodate up to 8 guests. It is equipped with a digital projector, HDMI cables and speakers, as well as a desk, chairs, sink and bench.

Studio

Our studio space is fully equipped with equipment for podcasting, audio and video recording. It includes 2 microphones, 2 sets of headphones, a computer, and a podcast production console. A short orientation on using the equipment can be provided upon request.

FUNCTION ROOM HIRE CONDITIONS

  1. Monday to Saturday
  2. Maximum capacity 80 pax
  3. $450 for four hours
  4. $120 per additional hour required
  5. Includes AV and whiteboard

 

Additional video conferencing and live-streaming services

These are add-on services on top of the function room hire rates listed above

  1. $200 for 4 hours
  2. $50 per hour thereafter

THEATRETTE ROOM CHARGES

  1. Tuesday to Saturday
  2. Maximum capacity 20 pax
  3. $90 per hour
  4. Includes AV

 

Additional video conferencing and live-streaming services

These are an add-on service on top of the function room hire rates listed above

  1. $40 per hour
  2. $30 per hour (not-for-profit rate)

ART WORKSHOP ROOM CHARGES

  1. Tuesday to Saturday, 10AM – 4PM
  2. Maximum capacity 20 pax
  3. $90 per hour.
  4. Includes whiteboard (no AV)

FUNCTION ROOM (NOT FOR PROFIT RATE)

  1. Monday to Saturday
  2. Maximum capacity 80 pax
  3. $350 for four hours
  4. $110 per additional hour required
  5. Includes AV and whiteboard

  1. $120 for 4 hours
  2. $30 per hour thereafter

FUNCTION ROOM

STUDIO

  1. Monday to Saturday
  2. Maximum capacity 4 pax
  3. B.Y.O. micro SD card is required for file transfer
  4. $65 per hour (commercial rate)
  5. $45 per hour (not-for-profit rate)

FUNCTION ROOM (NOT-FOR-PROFIT RATE)

  1. Monday to Saturday
  2. Maximum capacity 70 pax
  3. $350 for four hours
  4. $110 per additional hour required
  5. Includes complete audio-visual system and whiteboard

ART WORKSHOP ROOMS

  1. Monday to Saturday
  2. Maximum capacity 15 pax per room
  3. $80 per hour
  4. Includes whiteboard, sink and storage area (no audio-visual capabilities)

BOARD ROOM

  1. Monday to Saturday
  2. Maximum capacity 8 pax
  3. $70 per hour
  4. Includes digital projector, HDMI cables, speakers, large desk, chairs, sink and bench. B.Y.O. laptop is required to use the audiovisual equipment.

TERMS & CONDITION

  1. Prices are for room and AV use only. There are no AV facility in the art workshop rooms.
  2. Only USB and VGA inputs (for laptop connections) are available. Clients should not remove items/disconnect (devices, cables etc) in our facilities.
  3. For VGA inputs, clients are encouraged to test out their devices with our AV system prior to room hire.
  4. No outside food is allowed. IMA can provide catering at an additional cost.
  5. Alcohol cannot be consumed onsite.
  6. 50% of the full amount is to be paid if catering is cancelled less than 5 days of book date.
  7. Payment of invoice is required within 7 days of visit
