What is Ramadan?
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar Hijri calendar. The month begins at the sighting of the New Moon and Muslims around the world congregate for the first taraweeh, a special prayer that is only practiced during the month of Ramadan. Muslims around the world make their intention to begin the first fast and continue this till the next New Moon sighting and celebrate Eid ul-Fitr.
This is an exciting time for Muslims as it’s a time for families to come together and see our friends at our local mosques. Some families prepare for the month with Egyptian fanous lanterns or decorate their homes with other special items.

Now that Ramadan is less than a month away, it’s time to prepare! Get started with our Ramadan Goals Chart and Ramadan Mubarak cards to post to loved ones and friends!
