Outreach Programs
We are pleased to bring the IMA experience to you through our range of engaging outreach programs for all ages. Audiences will develop a deeper understanding of Islam, as well an appreciation for the values and contributions of Muslims to society.
Bulk booking discounts
Book two activities and receive a 5% discount. Book three activities and receive a 10% discount. If more than one activity is booked, program fees are altered according to the number of staff required.

Ramadan Banner

Ages 6 – 12 | Max. 25 pax
Make your own Ramadan Banner using a paper template and craft materials. Complete the piece with beads, sequins and textas.
Coffee Around the World
$400 | 2 hour workshop
Ages 16+ | Max. 30 pax
A coffee tasting session, journeying through to Lebanon, Turkiye and Vietnam. Presentation and tasting sheet will be provided.
Eid Banner

Ages 6 – 12 | Max. 25 pax
Make your own Eid Banner using a paper template and craft materials, including beads, sequins and textas.
Tea Around the World
$400 | 2 hour workshop
Ages 16+ | Max. 30 pax
Demonstrating and tasting tea from Indonesia, Morocco and Turkiye. Presentation and tasting sheet will also be provided.
Arabian Nights Storytelling
$400 | 1 hour workshop
Ages 6 – 12 | Max. 25 pax
A storytelling adventure, reading the Arabian Nights. Participants then reflect on the reading with a paper lantern making activity.
Art for Wellbeing: Mandala Workshop

Ages 12+ | Max. 25 pax
Participants will draw their own mandala. Learn the basics of drawing mandalas, discover different types of mandalas, including those in Islamic art.
Miniature Painting: Arabian Design

Be inspired by miniature painting of the 15th century and paint your own miniature Arabian design.
Terracotta Plate Painting

Ages 12+ | Max. 20 pax
Decorate a terracotta plate inspired by Iznik porcelain plates. Use paints to create floral or arabesque designs.
Build A Mosque
$350 | 1 hour workshop
Ages 6 – 12 | Max. 25 pax
Children will build their own unique paper model mosque. A guided activity, constructing and decorating their mosque using textas and craft materials.
Great Muslim Poets

Ages 12+ | Max. 30 pax
Discover some of the most influential Muslim poets like Rumi, Sanai and Attar, among others. Followed by participants creating their own poetry.
Magnificent Mosaics

Ages 6 – 12 | Max. 25 pax
Children make their own mosaics using paper tiles. Templates inspired by Islamic design will be provided.
Embroidery Workshop: Arabesque

Ages 12+ | Max. 20 pax
Participants will transfer motifs onto a cotton bag .The design will be brought to life with hand embroidery. Presentation provided.
Tasselled Tasbih
$400 | 1 hour workshop
Ages 6 – 12 | Max. 25 pax
In this workshop, children will create their own 33-bead tasbih (prayer beads). Using traditional wooden beads, and their own hand made tassel.
Miniature Painting: 1001 Inventions

Replicate a miniature painting of brilliant polymath, Al-Jazari. Painting his beautiful descriptions of the elephant clock or the musical band clock.
DIY Solar Lanterns
$500 | 1 hour workshop
Ages 8 – 12 | Max. 20 pax
Participants will be inspired by Egyptian fanous (lantern) when constructing and decorating their very own solar-powered lantern.
The Art of Islamic Tessellation
$600| 2 hour workshop
Ages 12+ | Max. 20 pax
Learn to form air-dry clay into tiles and imprint arabesque and geometric patterns. The tiles are then painted over in bright vivid designs.
Mini Persian Rugs
$450 | 1.5 hour workshop
Ages 8 – 12 | Max. 20 pax
Participants will weave a mini Persian rug, using a mini cardboard loom and yarn. A guided session that aims to spark their creativity.
Clay Beading Workshop
$600| 2 hour workshop
Ages 12+ | Max. 20 pax
Make beads from air-dry clay, inspired by Islamic prayer beads. Paint them once dried, and complete the piece with a hand made tassel.
