Are you looking for a fun and creative way to reduce your use of single-use plastics and make a positive impact on the environment? Join us for our Tote Bag Embroidery workshop during Plastic-Free July!
Plastic-Free July is a global movement aimed at reducing the use of single-use plastic, and what better way to contribute than by decorating your own reusable bag. During this workshop, you will have the opportunity to personalise a 100% cotton tote bag with an embroidered Islamic-inspired design.
During this workshop, you will have the opportunity to embroider your own personalised 100% cotton tote bag using colourful embroidery yarns. Embroidering a tote bag is a great way to personalise and upgrade a reusable bag that you can use for years to come. You can opt to use our Islamic-inspired embroidery templates including patterns and tessellations, or bring your own design.
Our experienced instructor will guide you through the whole process from transferring your design to embroidering, and provide you with all the materials you need to bring your design to life.
This workshop is open to participants aged 12+ of all backgrounds and skill levels. Whether you are an experienced embroiderer or have never touched a needle and thread, our instructor will provide you with the support and guidance you need to decorate a beautiful and functional 100% cotton tote bag.
At the end of the workshop, you will have a unique and personalised tote bag that you can be proud of. You will also have the satisfaction of knowing that you have made a positive impact on the environment by reducing your use of single-use plastics.
Make sure to bring your glasses with this fiddly activity, if you wear them!
Terms and Conditions:A minimum of 5 participants are required for this workshop to run.
In the unlikely event that we cancel the workshop, you will be notified by email with at least 48 hours notice. We will also fully refund you after we receive your completed Refund Request Form.
Cancellations made by participants within 72 hours or no-shows on the day are non-refundable.
Note: Parents/guardians do not need to purchase a ticket if they are accompanying a participant to the workshop. However, parents/guardians will need to purchase an admission ticket from reception on the day if they wish to explore the Museum.
