"Every teddy bear who's been good is sure of a treat today..."
Did you know the world's oldest teddy bear is 118 years old? The first teddy bear was made and displayed in a shop window in Brooklyn, New York back in 1903! Since then, teddy bears have become a traditional and timeless keepsake for young children; an important part of the family. Not only are they super snuggly, but they provide comfort and companionship. This Children's Week, join us over Zoom for a social and delicious teddy bear picnic from the comfort of your own backyard. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with other kids. Their teddy bears will make some plush, new friends, too. We'll also be creating teddy bear ears and eating the yummiest teddy bear themed snacks. A Zoom link will be emailed to all registered participants, along with a template for teddy bear ears and picnic food ideas. No materials or catering is provided for this activity. Registered participants will be required to source their own craft materials and snacks. The materials required for the teddy bear ears are:
  • Coloured card/paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue or sticky tape
