Miniature painting has been an integral part of Islamic culture for centuries.

With roots in the royal courts and religious manuscripts of the Persian, Mughal and Ottoman empires, Islamic miniature paintings were extremely intricate. They were highly valued for their beauty and attention to detail, often depicting scenes from literature, historical events, and everyday life. You can view examples of miniature paintings in our Islamic Art Gallery.
