Make your notebook uniquely yours!

In our world where almost all of our work and communication is done online, the humble notebook feels like an artefact of a bygone world.

A notebook is a personal place to write down your thoughts and ideas, to record memories and to play. Remember noughts and crosses?!

Putting pen to paper is a tradition that has almost gone out of style—but we're here to bring it back and make it fun!

Children aged 5-12 are invited to join us in a free craft workshop over Zoom where they'll create their own small notebook. Using common craft materials, participants will have the opportunity to express their own individual style and create something that is uniquely theirs.

It is recommended that a parent, guardian or caregiver supervise their child as this workshop requires the use of scissors.

Basic materials required for this workshop:
  • One A4 sheet of coloured paper
  • Scissors
  • Black pen
  • Craft materials such as glitter glue, textas, sequins, paint, thread, wool
This workshop will be facilitated by Amran Abdi, Public Programs Coordinator at the Islamic Museum of Australia and award-winning author.

Registered participants will receive a Zoom link via email 1-2 days before the event date.
