These lollipop cards are oh-so-sweet!

We're showing you how to make a lollipop card these school holidays!

Lollipop cards are an adorable way to brighten up someone's day.

Children aged 5-12 are invited to join us over Zoom for a free art workshop. Participants will craft a swirled lollipop to stick on the front of a homemade card complete with a sweet message.

Whether you love classic vanilla or you're more of a strawberries-and-cream kind of kid, you'll be able to customise the 'flavour' of your lollipop card using different coloured pipe cleaners, paper and markers. Participants are welcome to use more materials to make their lollipop card as special and unique as they wish.

It is recommended that a parent, guardian or caregiver supervise their child as this workshop requires the use of scissors.

Basic materials required for this workshop:
  • Pipe cleaners in various colours
  • Coloured paper
  • Black marker
  • PVA glue
  • Scissors
This workshop will be facilitated by Amran Abdi, Public Programs Coordinator at the Islamic Museum of Australia and award-winning author.

Registered participants will receive a Zoom link via email 1-2 days before the event date.
