Kite making for kids... up, up and away!

During Islamic Spain, more than a thousand years ago on a hill in Cordoba, Abbas Ibn Firnas boldly set out to do what no man had done before. It is believed that he invented the first flying machine in recorded history. He gained knowledge of flight by studying birds and the nature of aviation.

In this workshop, participants will build and design their own kites. Once assembled, they will have the opportunity to test fly them and measure how high they can go! Watch as your kite soars in the sky and delight in the thrill of flight.

Time:
1pm - 2.30pm

Ages: Suitable for ages 7+. We encourage parents/guardians to participate.
