What do Muslims believe?

Islam, which means submission, is a word derived from the Arabic word salam, or peace, implying contentment with God and all His creations. It is an Abrahamic religion that stresses absolute surrender to the one true God, known in Arabic as Allah.

The Islamic faith is underpinned by five pillars. These comprise morals, teachings and obligations which guide Muslims in their everyday lives. Discover more about the five pillars in our Islamic Faith Gallery.

In this workshop, children will learn more about the five pillars as they create their own Five Pillars Craft cube to take home.

This is a great activity to help bring children closer to their faith during the holy month of Ramadan.
